WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE CD
"Unsound is a definite departure from the alternative sound of music
today. The CD takes you back to a raw Sonic Youth type sound with some Bono-like
vocals thrown in. I think that both the songwriting and production are top
notch. An excellent achievement by Rob Grad"
-Peter Frederick
"Unsound is above and beyond what is out there now. Superfine had
the courage to bare themselves for everyone to see and it shines through
the lyrics and music like a beacon! Seriously, i don't think words do the
cd justice. It's too amazing just to talk about, you have to hear it, to
get it."
-Shelia Taylor
"Great CD!!! It really shows the span of your musical talent. A true
voyage into the musical mind of Rob Grad. UNSOUND is definitely the metamorphosis
of your prior works. Udoubtedly a true progression of your musical journey
into the future of Superfine, I can't wait to see this material performed
live. Keep rockin' brother."
-Riccardo Novelli
"Put simply, I’m very impressed. I’m not too sure what
I was expecting from the rest of the album but it was extremely pleasurable.
Of course I had already downloaded "Who’s the Enemy?" and
"7 Degrees" which were fantastic. And you’ve done a great
job with the rest. I love the bass lines in all the songs. They’re
kinda seedy while being funky. I’ve pretty much been listening to
the album non stop since I woke up this morning (apart from at work. Don’t
think they would appreciate it) I think I’ve found my new CD to take
to parties. I love "Naked In All the Wrong Places". Firstly the
name is fantastic. The song is equally as good. I simply love it."
-Dominic Barnes
"From the first track it just grabs you and gets better and better
with every listen. With “Unsound” Superfine return with a remarkable
album. Continuing the emotional pop/rock unleashed in the earlier “Immaculate
Rejection”, Rob Grad seems to pour honesty into every track. Through
spine tingling haunted guitar rock and heart-felt ballads, Grad embraces
the dark side of life, love and relationships. The clear and poignant lyrics
are matched with impressive instrumental performances. Each track demonstrates
Grad’s musicianship, sounding fresh and spontaneous. Track highlights
include the catchy “Who is the Enemy?” with a toe tapping guitar
driven pace, the semi-ballad “7 Degrees” and the emotional “Share
My Vein”. In summary, more superfinest from Rob Grad with a mature
and approachable album of emotionally charged pop/rock."
-Shamus Smith
"Unsound does exactly what a second CD should do - it retains the
hooks and melodies that the first CD won you over with and then it goes
the extra mile to bring you something a little bit different."
-Stuart Duncan
"At a time when most music irritates me, Unsound is a much needed
change. :) It makes me happy and that's a very good thing, cause
I can be kind of blase about a lot."
-Mindy
"The CD rocks and comes down in all the right places. Whether I am
excited and need to scream or depressed and need to relax, the CD hits on
all the right levels. It combines the passion and musical intelligence of
Our Lady Peace with the hard rock and evil yet enjoyable darkness of early
Stabbing Westward."
